Just 1 Hamas rocket accidentally landed in Egypt and killed 7 people, wounding many others, yet Israel endured 4,564 rocket attacks in 50 days and sustained few fatalities. By sending hundreds of terrorists through its attack tunnels, Hamas was planning a massive Rosh Hashana assault on Israeli civilians with an estimated 30,000 casualties. A hungry IDF soldier in Gaza opens a box of Israeli cookies to discover a note inside that reads, "I know you are protecting me, and this is a small token of my appreciation to you. I am still young, but I have one request: that you say a blessing over the food. "The soldier walks over to a religious soldier standing across the room to learn the blessing when a missile hits the exact spot where the soldier had just stood. The blessing saved his life! Shema prayer stops suicide bomber
A soldier instinctively yells out the "Shema Yisrael" prayer when confronted with a female suicide bomber in Gaza mosque. The woman begins to tremble and as a result is overtaken and disarmed by soldiers. After questioning, the prisoner reveals that her mother is Jewish and has been beaten and essentially held captive for years. The woman and her two small siblings were rescued by the IDF. A rocket crashes through the roof of an Ashdod home, lands on their balcony and doesn't detonate on impact. The family hiding inside is unhurt. SOURCE BELOW
Psalm 30 and the tank miracle
After 48 hours in a hot tank, the IDF unit was exhausted. The commander gave permission to leave the tank for a break but one soldier chose to stay to recite psalm 30 because he had promised his father he would say daily psalms. His fellow crew members stayed in the tank as well. Suddenly, an anti-tank missile struck the rear of the tank, near the spot where the soldiers stand for their break. Miraculously, no one was hurt. Rocket hits gas station-0 casualties
A Hamas rocket made a direct hit on a crowded Ashdod gas station and no one was killed! Miraculously, the exploding rocket did not ignite a 35,000 liter benzine gas truck that was in the gas station. SOURCE BELOW
Car lane, bus lane...rocket lane??
The Times of Israel reported that a rocket is said to have landed on a road in Tel Aviv, and its shrapnel caused a car to catch fire. Twitter photos of the car burning and of a rocket lying in the road were posted but it's unclear whether the rocket in the photo is the one that caused the car to catch fire. 20 mortars in 10 minutes-no injuries

Ashkelon survives by 'sheer miracles
"It's incredible to see how people live here by sheer miracles," Ashkelon Regional Council chairman Yair Farjoun told Arutz Sheva news. "Out of 160 rockets, 60 fell in our territory--that's a serious blitz," he said referring to the number of rockets fired in one day. "Besides a direct hit on a synagogue, rockets have landed just 200 meters (650 feet) from buildings of the Regional Council." SOURCE BELOW

Rocket hits bedroom-family saved
A family in Ashkelon tells of a split second miraculous escape when a rocket crashes through their house and explodes in their bedroom. Yuval Cohen's family was sleeping when the sirens went off. "We were in our bedroom when the alarm started. We ran to the children's room to wake them and while we were running with the kids, the rocket exploded in the bedroom," he said. Soldier makes miraculous recovery
Daniel Fish, an IDF soldier critically injured in a booby trapped house in Gaza, is making an astounding recovery that many are calling a miracle. Fish was evacuated to Be'er Sheva's Soroka Medical Center in a state of deep shock after he sustained serious injuries to his legs and right hand in a late July attack which killed three friends. BloodBank fills in 3hrs for soldier
The family of wounded soldier Shachar Shalev asked the Israeli public to donate blood for the IDF sergeant. The response was so immediate and overwhelming that after three hours Rambam Medical Center in Haifa requested that people stop donating, as they had all the donations needed. During the 50 days of Operation Protective Edge, Israelis gave more than 60,000 donations to Magen David Adom blood banks. The MDA described the public’s response as “tremendous.” SOURCE BELOW

IDF prevents major cyber attack
According to military officials, the IDF and Israel Security Agency (ISA or Shin Bet) foiled a major cyber attack on Israel during Operation Protective Edge. The attack was unlike anything seen before and was carried out by anti-Israel hackers worldwide with the help of the Iranian government.
